Watercolor

Watercolor is a very different painting medium. It is used with a lot of water, hence the name watercolor. The added water makes for a very different consistency and outcome.

If you are looking for a type of painting, you really can’t consider watercolor as “just another type of paint”, like oil paint and acrylic paint. It is a different kind of paint entirely and even uses its own type of paper.

Some people love watercolor and other’s hate it. It takes a lot of practice to get it right, but once you do get it right, it can’t look amazing. Though a lot of watercolor paintings are scenery and landscapes, there is no end to the different subjects you can paint in watercolor paint.
